In partnership with Interior Health, Storyground created an explainer animation on Alcohol Use Disorder. This video serves as a tool for primary healthcare providers in the Emergency Department and aims to combat stigma, promote compassion, and give patients and their families a path to healing.

Our process

Telling your unique story requires more than just words. That's why we have crafted a 9-step process to ensure that we find the essence of your story together. Your collaboration in the process makes for a more impactful, on-brand story.

01 Consultation

A face-to-face session (online or in-person) where we learn about your history, what ticks you off, and what makes you tick.

02 Concept

Using what we learn during our consultation, we create a concept. It's a flurry of pictures and words as we do our research and come up with ideas for your message.

03 Script

Time to hand over our ideas to the wordsmiths and ink slingers. These experts will distill the essence of your story into carefully crafted copy.

04 Treatment

Just fancy speak for a visual style guide. We’ll dive into your brand and apply your visual identity to the concept in a document you sign off.

05 Storyboard

Carefully following the script, we craft your story frame by frame. First, we’ll work on one slide, then, once you've approved it, we complete the storyboard.

06 Animatic

The animatic is a moving slideshow with voice-over set to music. It helps you check timing, and it gives you a final opportunity to approve the visuals.

07 Animation

The moment where everything comes together. Transitions are seamless,
icons pop, type is transformed, and characters finally come to life
on screen. Magical!

08 Sound

The right music, sound effects, or even silence, can captivate an audience and elevate the animation. We’ll source or create the perfect soundtrack for your message.

09 Follow-up

We proudly hand over the completed product. Then, after a while, we follow up to see how you've used the product, and what the response has been.

Sneh Sneaker Wash

Client:

Amaphanda Asekasi

Sinethemba Mgwetana was a promising soccer player whose dreams were dashed when the COVID lockdown closed football stadiums. To make money, he started washing sneakers for his neighbours, eventually creating a business called Sneh SnkrWash. He plans to expand and create jobs while partnering with a laundry service in Stellenbosch for convenient drop-offs.
