The client
The Sun Exchange is an innovative platform that combines solar energy and cryptocurrency to make renewable energy more accessible and financially viable. It provides individuals with the opportunity to invest in solar projects located around the world.
Through The Sun Exchange, investors can purchase solar cells or panels using digital currency, typically in the form of cryptocurrency. These solar cells are installed on commercial or community buildings, generating clean and sustainable electricity. Investors then earn returns on their investment through the revenue generated by selling the electricity produced by their solar cells. The platform leverages blockchain technology to ensure transparency, security, and accountability. Blockchain enables the tracking of ownership, payments, and energy production of each solar cell, creating a trusted and immutable record.
By participating in The Sun Exchange, individuals can contribute to the growth of renewable energy infrastructure and support the transition to clean energy sources. They become part of a global community working towards a more sustainable future, while also potentially earning financial returns on their investments.
The brief
Sunexchange approached Storyground to create a concise 90-second explainer animation, aiming to showcase their platform's importance and guide users on how to use it. The project blended captivating storytelling with informative UX/UI animation. Vibrant colors and character design were utilized to emphasize solar energy as a promising solution for the future. We collaborated to craft a narrative that educates and inspires, effectively communicating the platform's functionalities. Our goal was to spark excitement and encourage the use of solar energy for a sustainable future.
The process
In this explainer project, we worked closely with Sun Exchange's creative director to bring their story to life. From developing a on-brand style guide to animating the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), every aspect was carefully crafted. The character design and animation, particularly their expressions, added an extra layer of depth to the narrative, ensuring that the story resonated with the audience on a deeper level.
